TERRIBLE

This was absolutely the worst musical I have ever went to. The actors and actresses were dressed in today’s attire but spoke in yesterday’s lingo. I have enjoyed all the high school musicals I have EVER went to more than this and they were not professionals. My first clue that I wouldn’t like it was the lack of a real set. A bunch of tables and that was it. First time I ever left at intermission.

WISH I HAD READ A REVIEW LIKE THIS BEFORE GOING

I am so disappointed in this play. We are season ticket holders so we are used to a variety of theater but this was straight up awful. The staging was boring (and the “blood” stains on the floor indicated what was to come. The only shining light was Laurey’s (Sasha Hutchings) singing. The dream scene after intermission was nothing but filler - unnecessary and ridiculous. I want my 20 minutes back. The characters were lackluster and unbelievable. Wow a trans actor -big deal. Awful and disingenuous. The scenes in the dark were a pitiful attempt at art. I can’t say enough about how poorly this was done. If you’re on the fence about going to see this… take my advice and stay home. We were very disappointed in every aspect of this version. Yuck!

OKLAHOMA

There were some good voices. However, the performance lacked direction, absence of set design. I kept waiting for it to improve but, it kept going downhill.

TERRIBLE...TERRIBLE...TERRIBLE... DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!

I wish I could give this show ZERO stars!! This was one of the worst shows I have ever seen. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME and much less MONEY!! Not worth it... very Dark and Confusing.. NOT what I expected at all! I'm so glad I got free tickets...because if I would have paid for them I would have demanded my money back! I'm warning you now...Stay away....Terrible...Terrible...Terrible!!

OKLAHOMA WAS NOT JUST BAD. IT WAS THE WORST.

My family and I have been attending a number of musicals as of late and we were really looking forward to this one. The reviews were horrible to the point that I kept telling myself that it couldn't be that bad and I was still excited to see it (that was the $50 per ticket talking). Then the show started and I was slapped in the face continuously for the next 3 hours by how awful it was. People were getting up and leaving starting just before intermission. A quarter of the theater was empty after intermission and people just kept getting up and walking out throughout the rest of the show. The dream sequences and smoke house scenes were awful. A green lit stage to denote night time lacks any artistic thought or creativity. I don't know who is into this kind of "art", but when I go to see a traditional musical, I expect to be entertained by music and choreography and brilliant sets. This version of Oklahoma only delivered disappointment. Save your money for the next one.

SEASON TICKET OWNER

Oklahoma was the worst show we have ever been to. They wasted some very talented cast members The scenery was not as good as a high school production. We love The peace center but this production sucked. Call me Grandma if you will.
