VERY DISAPPOINTING

We purchased tickets over a year ago and were so excited to take our Granddaughters to see the original Oklahoma. This production was absolutely terrible. Unfortunately,, we had not heard about this production being a 'New & dark" adaptation. There should have been more publicity about the true nature of this production. I truly enjoy theater, but not this show. The singing is good. Some nice voices. We spent a lot of money on tickets and we want it refunded!

MURDER AND A COVER UP CONSPIRACY

I agree with the overall sentiment others have conveyed. Where I'll disagree is that the 2nd half was worse. The first act was boring and completely unintelligible. Disregarding the dream sequence to start, the second act at least had me engaged and annoyed. Instead of an accidental stabbing, we have 1st degree murder covered up by a corrupt judge cowtowing to an evil aunt. I wished she was shot in the face. The whole "courtroom" sequence was asinine. I left the theater pissed off at the aunt and Judge and feeling sad for Jud. I wouldn't ever recommend anybody pay for the 3 hours of hell sitting through this play was, but I will say that if I had left at intermission, I would have left feeling the show was just boring and impossible to follow. Having watched it all, I left with strong feelings about the interpretation of this show. None are good. But it's probably a better outcome than indifference.

OKLAHOMA STAYHOMA

I have seen hundreds of plays from Broadway to high school products. This one comes in 1st place for the worst production I have ever seen. I felt that I was bamboozed as I was expecting a merry musical similar to the original R&H’s Oklahoma. I was given the tickets for free, walked out at intermission and feel I paid a high price of wasting my Saturday. Don’t do it!!! I honestly had more fun writing this review than attending the play.

POOP

Very confusing. Actors seemed pissed they had to be there. Not joyful at all.

NEVER SAW BAD STAGE THEATER, TILL NOW

How did this win an award? Seriously. Just terrible, it's not Oklahoma. It's eight people sitting around a table and standing up for their line. No set changes, so no context to the conversations. I've seen a good number of live productions and never wanted to walk out early, ever. But I did want to for this horrible garbage. I want my money back. It was the laziest production I've seen. The two main characters did fine, but the rest of the cast, sub par singing. It's just barely recognizable as Oklahoma, just watch the movie, or better yet, Hugh Jackman in the Australian version. Or any local high school, they will do better, guaranteed as long as they don't do this version. We saw people leave early. Final numbers should charge up the audience, this falls flat. I literally laughed as the dead corpse stands up to sing the final chorus with everyone. It's just so stupid. Save your money!!!

VERY DISAPPOINTING

We were very disappointed and bored with the show last night. We found the adaptation unentertaining and the scenes too long and boring. The violence seemed gratuitous. A wast of time and money.

DAZED AND CONFUSED

I left at intermission. The sets, the cast, and the story line made me Dazed and Confused. The only part of this musical that was "Oklahoma" was the title Oklahoma. Stay home
