WORST EVER

I saw this today with 5 other women. We all agreed it was the worst show (we have seen many) we have ever seen. We would have left during intermission, but did not want to be rude to the cast.

WORST ADAPTATION EVER!

I graduated in Theater. I have experienced so much great theater, but tonight I just saw the worst. I felt like I was watching a high school production. D- set design so dull and lifeless. Not evoking the spirit of R&H music and incredible plot development.hard metal music and weird dream sequences were the topper. And two of the. performers need to take additional voice lessons. We left at intermission. R&H must be rolling over in their graves.

UNBELIEVABLE TERRIBLE

Sorry not my idea of Oklahoma, no energy, no excitement, they all looked so bored. Was is meant to be a woke put down of the original play. We looked forward to the intermission so we could get out into the sunshine, something the original play had so much of.

NO MYSTERY HERE…

This, has to be, one of the worst musical interpretations I have ever witnessed. We labored through it’s confusing, acid trip vibe as best we could, but it was definitely worthy of an early exit, although we stayed (in hindsight a poor choice). I’m still not ever sure what I saw.

I WISH I HAD LEFT AT INTERMISSION

Do yourself a favor, don't go. If you have tickets, shred them. Take your friend out to a nice dinner instead and be thankful you're with them and not in there. The other reviewers have told you about the show, so I'll only say it was like a cross between the Zapruder film and a bad LSD trip at Woodstock. It was probably the worst Broadway level thing I've ever seen.

TOURING PROUCTION NOT AVANT GARDE, JUST BAD

I am an enthusiastic experimental theater goer of over 40 years, and have enjoyed shows from The Living Theater to Taylor Mac. Trust me when I say that this was not over my head or too shocking. What it was, was terrible. Moving a successful small intimate and immersive theater in the round experience to large proscenium venues was a huge mistake. Suddenly a lauded production is tranforned into something inaudible, awkward, amateurish, and worst of all -- boring. For the first time in my life I walked out at intermission. I felt terrible for the talented cast.

THIS IS ONE TO MISS.

I am a huge theater lover, and was so excited to see such an iconic musical. All I can say is save your money. The singers were good, so this is not an indictment of them, but the staging was TERRIBLE and the reimagined concept of the show did not hit the mark. Tickets are expensive these days, so I would save your money and wait for the next show.
